"Remembering" Being In Ke Akua's Day. We are all connected - Love is All there Is!

December 29, 2008 by kaleopuuwai

Aloha Kapuaokalani Ohana! The Christmas Holiday has come &
> gone & it is time for the New Year & new beggings for many.
> I know that being in Ke Akua's Day, & "remembering" that we

We are Love, Love is us... Into the Love of the "New Moment" I pray you My Brothers & Sisters! Carry our "Light of Love" High!

The Far Reach of the Healing Teaching of Kumu Karen Leialoha Carroll...

December 1, 2008 by kaleopuuwai

To start with I would like to say how grateful & thankful I am to my Kapuaokalani Ohana & Kumu Leialoha Carroll for the blessings I am given for being a part of this Ohana every day. For those of you who I have yet to meet. I am Kaleo pu'u wai which means, "Heart of the Music." A musician I am. However, it wasn't until I attended Kumu's August intesive this year that I really found the "Heart" of my music. When I am not at home in the islands, I am on the mainland working as a Therapist. Specializig in Biofeedback, Hypnotherapy, Pain/Stress management & substance abuse/addictions. As I Had returned from the August course I was filled with Aloha & Mana ready to go to work! I would like to share with you, my Ohana, what my experience has been since. When I started working with one of my recovery groups I excitedly began to share my latest trip to the islands. I began teaching about one of my favorite subjects, Ho'oponopono. It's a perfect tool to use for recovery groups to empower them to live pono. To take back their own power where substances, i.e. drugs, alcohol have stolen their lives & their mana. I enthusiastically shared like a child with a new bicycle, Hawaiian values & what they would mean to the group if we based our meeting on these blessings. Understand that substance abuse clients would love to have healing & take their lives back. The fear of doing so & the grip of addiction is a hard wall to break through & because of co-dependence most people in this condition would look for "someone else" to fix them. So the concept of Ho'oponopono & being responsible for every aspect of their lives is very "LARGE". I let things settle. A few weeks past. Then it hit me! I was tired, didn't want to do my group one night. My father had just suffered a mini-stroke. And I hadn't been taking care of myself before sessions. (Big NO,NO!) I wasn't covering myself in light, or cleansing, or grounding. Drained of mana I reluctantly started my group. On this particular night we had a new memeber who was very broken in spirit. These are court ordered groups & some of the clients have injured or even killed someone while driving under the influence. Our newest young man fit into the latter category. As group started a young woman noticed his distress & asked me to teach him about the "Hawaiian Stuff!" "You know she said," that Ho' something, something!"
Being the Therapist I said, "Great!" "Share with him what you rememer & I will fill in where you need me to." Well, I didn't need to fill in anything! The whole group of about 20 started to chime in. Sharing their love & support of this newest member of an outcast group. Right before my eyes I saw & felt the teachings of Kumu Leialoha flow from my clients. Not only breathing Ha into the new member. But, completely re-energizing me! I saw Kumu Leialoha's teaching of remembering who we are begin to bring my clients back to remembering who they are before & without the pain of abuse & addiction. So, I remind myself that we have Kaupokalani Ohana around the globe! Kumu Karen Leialoha Carroll's teaching are at work. I remind myself that no matter what I do, if I do it in the name of Aloha & Kapuaokalani. I do Pono. That Kumu's love is so deeply rooted in pono & healing. That it reached me, through a client in the Magic that is the fiber of our Ohana. At a time when I was drained & mistakenly thinking I was alone. Or that my work was stalling. It is always there my brothers & sisters. The Love of Kumu's teaching. It settles in different ways & appears in the "pono" time. As we work to replace the limits of the illusion of time. With the limitless healing power of Aloha, Lomilomi in the teaching of Kumu Karen Leialoha Carroll. Any work in the name of Aloha is effective. Oh, Kumu, I cannot put into words how blessed & greatful I am to be in your Graceful touch! I love you all. Have a Blessed, Love filled Holiday,
Me Ke Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua,

Pule request

November 5, 2008 by kaleopuuwai

Aloha Ohana, I am requesting Pule for my father who suffered a stroke this weekend. Initial reports are that he will recover. Dad is 86 & mom is 80 so they need some loving care & Pule energy. Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts! I don't know what I would do without my Kapuaokalani Ohana.
Mahalo,
