Mahalo Mahealani, that prayer came during a time when I needed it the most.
I am looking for avenues of offering the Lomilomi teaching, but it has been quite difficult during this time. I have been looking for a job in nursing until a teaching opportunity opens up, but that is not where my heart is. Thank you for your prayers. I could also use some help in signing up Rainbow children for the upcoming Jan. 16-18, so share the light. Please let others know about it.

Aloha Kainani,
You do have a blessing from me!
"Aloha Ke Akua, we are filled with your love as we surround Kainani with your strength, protection, and fortitude. We ask for your blessings upon her that she will have strength beyond her own strength, and fortitude beyond her own fortitude. We ask for an amazing experience for her and ask that we, her Ohana walk with her to support her every step of the way. We ask for safety, and for endurance during this time and always. Amama Ua Noa, amene."
Have a fantastic trip, when you make that turn on Hawaii Kai Dr. where I usually wait for you, I'll be there in spirit with my T-leaf to urge you on!
We'll talk about the blessing in SF and date later.
Me Ke Aloha,
Kumu

Kaleo pu'uwai, the music of the heart. Your music plays even when you are not singing, it is a part of you and goes before you to break down barriers and give hope. Your post brought tears to my eyes, and a new committment to share this message of hope with others. My love to your group and to you, Kaleo pu'uwai, your "music" is divine!

Aloha Zena,
I just returned from Hawaii and have been away from my computer for a month.
It seems to me that you are more than qualified as a Traditional Practitioner.
Is it the certificate that says that you are certified what you need? As the Kumu, I teach at Hawaii Healing Arts College and offer Lomilomi classes. The students receive a certificate saying that they have taken the course, and the school is nationally certified. The spiritual practices are very important too. As you know, Lomilomi is more than a physical science, it is a spiritual art. What you do, who you are inside, and who you help, are the things that matter most. Just because you didn't get a certificate from the college doesn't mean that you are not a traditional practitioner. You are that, and more. Your ohana stands behind you, the work you do goes before you, and you are fantastic!
You have received much training, now use it to help others.
Much Love and Aloha,
Kumu
Happy Thanksgiving Rainbow Children!
November 27, 2008 by kumu
During this time of tight budgets and tough times, I want to say, "Mahalo Ke Akua for blessing us so abundantly with those things that matter most in our lives. We get up every morning, we are pretty healthy, we have the love of our ohana, we have the love of Ke Akua, what more could be possibly need! Mahalo nui loa!"
I am back "home" in Indio after a long month of packing, moving, teaching, and traveling. It was wonderful seeing the Rainbow children again and feeling their love. I am filled. I am sending my love to all of you and asking for many blessings in your lives where they are needed most. You are one of my most prized treasures. We are so blessed!

Aloha Mahealani,
There is no one answer, but many. The saying goes,"When you get to the path in the woods, take it!" Life is an adventure, enjoy the ride! You have many choices, what a luxury that is. If you are on a path and find that it is not what you wanted, get onto another path. Have faith that you are being led to where you are supposed to be. Somewhere on this beautiful Earth, you are needed. There is someone waiting just for you, and only you, can fill that need.
Aloha Ke Akua,
We ask for your blessings and prescence to be with Mahealani. Fill her heart with peace, guide her to where she is needed and fill her soul with your love.
Amene
Watch Bizzare Foods with Andrew Zimmern on the travel channel on Oct. 28th!
October 20, 2008 by kumu
My cousin cooked the food for a filmed in Hawaii backyard luau for Bizzare Foods on the Travel Channel. I did get to give him a brief Lomilomi massage since he had opu huli, but my brief moment of fame may be when "Aunty Karen" taught him the hula. I don't know the time, or even if I'm in it for that matter, but it should be interesting (or hilarius at least).
Megan has made a few changes to the website which now includes a brief interview with KMIR TV in Palm Springs which my Alaka'i/Kahu Brian Vatcher got for me. Thank you for the pictures some of you sent. Check out the new story under "Blessings". There are a few new pictures too.
The 31st of Oct. I will be helping out Hula Halau Wailehua in Palm Desert who will be putting on their first ever concert in this desert city. This is my Hawaii connection in the desert with many wonderful local families. The concert features the Makaha Sons and Hula Halau Wailehua who will performing. I'll be doing the Lomilomi for the Makaha Sons and then for the dancers to kokua.
We would love to hear from you, please drop us a line to let us know how you are and what you've been up to.
Love,
Kumu
Will be back in Hawaii Nov. 7-25th!
October 20, 2008 by kumu
Hi Rainbow Ohana!
I will be back in Hawaii to rent out my Hawaii Kai home and relocate my dad who has been taking care of our home. I'll be selling/mailing/bartering/giving away some household furnishings and misc. items. The home will be rented out on Nov. 15th soooooo I have a lot to do. If anyone has some free time and can help, please give me a call, it would be greatly appreciated! 228-3813. I've got lots of "treasures" to share! I will post a list of items and pictures later.

Looking for someone to share a rental in my Hawaii Kai home.
September 30, 2008 by kumu
Since I am living in Southern California, I am renting my 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse out in Hawaii Kai. My dad is staying in one of the bedrooms, and has his own bathroom. I would like to rent out the master bedroom that includes the master bathroom. It's a beautiful place on the 2nd floor, right on the marina. It's fully furnished with dishes, linen, and a queen sized bed.
At night the cool breezes feel so good, and the stars are beautiful from the lanai. It's next to Safeway, Longs, and Mc Donald's, and 2 blocks from Costco, Ross', and City Mill.
There is a 22' color tv and DVD player in the room which would be available for your use. It would be $1,000.00 per month, shared living area, beautifully remodeled kitchen, washer/dryer. All utililties are included, and your own parking space. It is located in Mawaena Kai,a gated community right on Hawaii Kai drive in the middle of town. Our home is on the market, but right now the market is not so great, so we're renting it. Please let me know, if you or anyone else may be interested. Of course my dad is there too, so I would like to make sure that everyone is a fit.
Please give me a call: (808) 228-3813

Re: The power of prayer for others is so powerful. When we ask for healing on their behalf, our prayers are heard.

We have a request from Fran in Texas. "We are expecting a fairly major hurricane--Ike by name--to hit the Texas coast by early Sat. morning. Expecting a catagory 3-4 (5 is the highest.) That's winds 111-155 mph. Not sure yet exactly where it's going to hit--somewhere between Corpus Christi (South of us) and Houston. Would appreciate any good energy and prayers this way for everyone along the coast."
This reminds me of the quote:"Don't tell God how big your storm is, tell the storm how big your God is." Our prayers are sent out to our Ohana in Texas, we can also do Ho'oponopono to transmute the energy and cover them with a golden shield. Mahalo.
"The greatest joy is in giving...and the greatest gift is LOVE." "Love in the heart wasn't meant there to stay, love isn't love, till you give it away." Share your Aloha with others, ask for help that is needed for yourself and for others. Be a good giver as well as a good receiver.

The power of prayer for others is so powerful. When we ask for healing on their behalf, our prayers are heard.

Please pray for baby Kismet who has not grown as she should. The Dr. has taken tests and her family anxiously await the results. Her Tutu, Kainani, our Kahu in SF asks for our prayers. Mahalo.
Re: Welcome Message to New Members
September 9, 2008 by kumu
Aloha Rainbow Ohana,
I'm so excited that we can keep in touch with each other, now we are just one touch away! Thank you Megan Leimomi!
I would love to have a Pule category where we can place the names of people that need our prayers and where we can pray for each other. I also can see having a "Rainbow Bridge" network where we can help other Rainbow children. This would be totally voluntary where you put in a request for yourself or someone you know who needs help.( Example: Looking for a used bed you're not using; loss of a job and trying to get back on their feet; looking to buy or trade a car and need and extra pair of eyes to find a good deal; illness and need assistance; etc.) Those who are able to help in anyway would do so, if they could, no pressure. If you can't it's totally ok., just offer when you can or have extra resources.
It could also be when you have an abundance of something like mangos, school supplies, or time to volunteer, it can be posted and shared.
Please list any other ideas you have where we could help each other.
My love to you, your love has made me so happy. Love, Kumu
